Dilma Rousseff: Brazil's First Female President

The women in power positions shown in the link below, remind me of the old slogan, “You’ve come a long way, Baby!” It’s now truer than ever.  Despite the turmoil in the world, there are strides being made to even out the balance of power for equality among men and women leaders. What’s even more interesting is that most of them are over 60 and are looking to greater futures for their countries.

The link is taken from Al Jazeera, the English version of the Arabic-language news network. The top of the news item shows situations in Egypt which you may or may not want to see. Nevertheless, the slide show is the more prominent part of the link.

Take a look at these women, most of whom are over 60, have broken through the glass ceiling, and tell me what you think. Have we come a long way?
